Our aim in running this club is to enhance the lives of the children we work with. We want to help them to develop key skills such as teamwork, perseverance and self discipline, all in an atmosphere of friendship and enjoyment. We specifically guard against the possibility of children being hurt or harmed in any way through the operation of the club and would be devastated if this were to happen.

We therefore have instigated a safeguarding policy which outlines our approach in relation to child safety. It's a comprehensive document which addresses both our policies to prevent harm and also the procedures to follow should a problem or the suspicion of a problem arise. You can download the policy in pdf form by clicking the link below or request a hard copy by contacting us using the information at the foot of this page.

Our Child Welfare Officer is Caryl Rundle. She has worked in social care for over 20 years and has extensive experience in both good practice and child protection procedures. Her role is not to act in protection of the club or its staff but to address the needs of the children as the first priority. If you have any concern about the welfare of any child within the club then Caryl is your first point of contact and would be happy to talk to you.
